Today, Sunday, June 3, 2018 marked the one-week countdown for the Senatobia District Mission Team to El Salvador. As in years past, the team along with a community of prayer partners, gathered for a service of prayer and blessing at Pleasant Hill UMC in Olive Branch, MS. Under the leadership of Mrs. Cheryl Denley, Senatobia District Secretary and prayer team leader, United Methodists from around the Senatobia District gathered to lay hands on the thirteen team members, offer them well wishes, and give gifts that would help them on their journey. From first-time team members to five-year “veterans,” all felt the blessings of Holy Spirit and the encouragement of the Senatobia District upon their hearts as Mrs. Denley reminded the team that their prayer partners have been praying for them before the trip, they will be praying for them during the trip, and will continue to pray for them after the trip. As the team prepares to leave for El Salvador on Monday, June 10, 2018, the prayers of the faithful are greatly appreciated and coveted.
